Hi! I’m Jill and I hold a PhD in Biblical Studies from Brite Divinity School, where I majored in New Testament and minored in Second Temple Jewish Literature. My research interests include the canonical Gospels, empire studies, disabilities studies, and gender criticism. I am the author of Matthew, Disability, and Stress: Examining Impaired Characters in the Context of Empire (Fortress Press, 2022) and co-editor of The Gospels and Empire (Bloomsbury, Forthcoming).
You can find some of my writing in my blog and listen to archived episodes of a podcast I formerly hosted.
